1. Who we are

Earn Deal is a family reward platform that helps parents turn good habits into fun rewards. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

2. Data we collect

• Parent account data — name, email address, and a hashed password.
• Child profile data — the child's first name and date of birth, entered by the parent. Children never create their own accounts.
• Activity data — tasks completed, optional proof photos, coins earned, and rewards redeemed.
• Technical data — a session cookie required to keep you signed in.

3. Children's privacy

All child profiles are created and controlled by a verified parent or guardian. We collect only the minimum data needed for the app to work (first name and date of birth) and never show advertising targeted at children, sell child data, or share it with third parties for marketing.

4. How we use your data

We use your data solely to operate the service: authenticating sign-ins, tracking tasks and rewards, sending transactional emails (such as password resets and co-parent invitations), and — if you opt in — push notifications about task approvals.

5. Cookies

We use one essential cookie (earn_deal_session) to keep you signed in. It expires after 24 hours. Pages that display advertising may set additional cookies from our advertising partner; you can decline these via the cookie banner.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time. Signed-in parents can download a full copy of their family's data or permanently delete their account (including all child profiles) from the Settings page.

7. Data retention & security

Data is kept only while your account exists. Passwords are stored hashed, sessions are signed, and deleting your account removes all associated family data immediately.
